Who We Are

Never Fully Dressed is more than just a fashion brand – we are a female-founded community that celebrates and empowers everyone. We take immense pride in the integrity of our design process, creating all our prints in-house and working closely with our trusted supply partners to source premium fabrics.

The brand began with Lucy, a third-generation machinist who grew up learning the craft from her family, who were market traders in the garment industry. She started by making small runs of styles on an inherited sewing machine, selling her designs at London's creative markets, including Portobello Road and Spitalfields. As the community around the brand grew, so did the range. Today, we offer a diverse selection of styles in sizes UK 6-28 / US 2-24, available worldwide and stocked in our flagship stores in London and New York.

Our Sustainability Journey

We know we have come a long way from sewing and customising samples in Lucy’s parent’s attic. As we expand, we appreciate our growing responsibility to be conscious of our environmental impact and to our community.

Lucy's vision of inclusivity continues to inspire our long-term commitment to uplift women, boost diversity within the fashion community, and promote feel good dressing. We aim to innovate and create clothing that is not only sustainable but also sets new standards for ethical and eco-friendly fashion.

We are already committed to changing the way we operate wherever possible.

At NFD, we believe sustainability is a journey where we are all learning and growing together. We are serious about our sustainability mission and proud of the steps we have taken so far across the NFD collection, as well as the ones we are working on for the future.

Production

We carefully select our suppliers based on their credentials, expertise, and craftsmanship. Building long-term partnerships with trusted suppliers is central to our business model and helps us minimise waste. With a strong understanding of each other's work, we can rely on fewer samples and reduced returns.

Lenzing AG

Lenzing Eco Vero Viscose is a sustainable alternative to ordinary viscose. Both are derived from wood pulp, the wood pulp used to make Eco Vero Viscose comes from certified sustainably managed forests. This way, it can be ensured that when harvesting the wood, it maintains biodiversity whilst preventing deforestation and supporting the ecosystems health. Eco Vero production helps to reduce chemical and water consumption by up to 50% compared to standard viscose.

Biodegradable Packaging

Our polybags used in packaging our production are made from 100% MDPE and made biodegradable by adding polylactic acid. The grip seal on the polybags however, is recyclable, meaning it should be removed before throwing away.

Waste

We strive to reduce waste in all our processes, that’s why we use waste fabric from our garments to create drawstring bags for accessories and face coverings, this allows our factories to create a more circular fashion process.

We prioritise the planet over perfection, which is why we carefully cut our fabrics to minimise waste. This intentional approach ensures that every printed garment is one-of-a-kind, just like the world we’re working to protect!
