Sicilian Summer
Prints inspired by tiles and local market ceramics...
Browsing through a vintage shop in Brick Lane, our designer Abi came across a beautiful heritage silk scarf decorated with spirals and tiles and it reminded her of her travels to Sicily. Where the streets of the Italian region are bathed in gorgeous soft yellow, green and blue hues which we used as accents throughout our artwork to brighten winter days.Her vision for the perfect print was inspired by mediterranean tiles and beautiful ceramics sold in the local markets.
For that signature NFD flare we have put palms, suns and moons into the print which are iconic to our brand. We have also taken out these elements and embroidered them in a contrast bright red onto our white and blue stripe miley shirt and cardi for a nautical nod.
